33rd Annual Street Racer ChampionshipWed 9th February 2011 This is the hardest championship known to the street legal racecars. Not only are their wits up against it but so are car designs and set ups too. Held after a long day’s qualifying; the Street Racer Championship has 1 round of qualifying. The only rest these cars are going to have is whilst the ladder and pairing up is taking place. Once every thing is ready the cars race. Its heads up! Once a car wins its straight round and into the fire up lane ready to immediately go up against the next car in the next race. No cool down time. The engines don’t even get turned off. This continues until there is only one car left and they are crowned the winner. This is pushing the cars to the limit with the drivers having to use their best drag racing brains to ensure their car reaches the final without cooking, over heating or breaking which regularly happens. Previous winners include Andy Carter, Bill Sheratt, John Sleath, and Nigel Parkin. |
