With the options open for such diverse street cars (with an MOT certificate), the Super Cuprs can run open headers, slicks, nitrous injection, in fact most things that let you go faster quicker!
This is a 'heads up' racing series, against the clock, the quickest car wins. But it can be left wide open, as quicker cars can be less reliable, so consistency and reliability play their part.
And the series shows the diversity of this class; from a traditional wylis hot rod with 1000 hp, or 2 litre turbo with nitrous, or a jago jeep with a blown Chevy
2010 saw the very successful return of super cup, our heads up, first to the finish line wins, class. Unlike the HRSC, super cup is open to any vehicle regardless of it being street legal or not.
With the amount of non street legal racecars growing almost event-by-event. it was time to reintroduce Super Cup, with fantastic results. the first round saw Andy Hadfields street legal model T which runs low 9 high 8 second quarters, up against the Ian Lloyds legendary gonzo the great, fiat topolino race car, which also runs low 9 high 8 second quarters, going head to head in the final. And with more racecars set to return, and the street cars getting faster this looks like the class to be in for 2011.
